Our primary focus is to help individuals/veterans with disabilities prepare for and obtain a job.  This means that we work with them where they are and help them build the skills needed to obtain and keep a job in an area that they enjoy.  We are registered with Florida Vocational Rehabilitation  (VR) to work with teens/young adults with disabilities ages 14-21 years.  We offer Work Readiness Training and Work Based Learning Experience services through Florida Vocational Rehabilitation to these age groups. (Department of Education, Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA), or VR site,  https://www.rehabworks.org ).

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a program that is federal-state funded that is focused on helping individuals with disabilities find and maintain employment.  Through this program and others that help with life skills training, these individuals can become more independent and become more involved in their community.   The U.S. Department of Education’s office of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) administers the program at the federal level.   (OPPAGA)

The Florida Department of Education (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation) administers the VR programs at the state level in collaboration with state and local representatives. The VR division determines client eligibility and provides services for those who are found eligible.  The VR  office/representative conducts research and administers a statewide VR needs assessment. VR services are governed by requirements of both federal and state law. (OPPAGA, https://www.rehabworks.org).
